It closely resembles the final scene of a story, and permits the author to highlight important points in the writing. A strong introduction is the key to a good essay. It either identifies the topic of the essay or begins the essay. The opening addresses the audience and sets the stage for the remainder of the essay. The essay’s opening is the only paragraph that keeps the reader’s attention. The introduction as well as the remainder of the essay must be a clear and precise presentation of the specific topic. The introduction should provide readers an overview of the topic and introduce them to the main topic. The remainder of the writing should be a reiteration or a clarification of what was first described in the introduction. The main focus of the essay should be on answering questions and proving points, presenting evidence, etc.
